🇷🇴 Romania Schengen visa from the UAE: document checklist
Everything Romania asks UAE residents to bring for a short-stay (tourist or family visit) Schengen visa, in plain English and in the official order.
Application form. Apply online on Romania’s eViza portal, then attend in person. Romania doesn’t use VFS or BLS in the UAE. Official form website.
Good to know. The Embassy’s page doesn’t number the list. It asks for €50,000 insurance, higher than the usual Schengen minimum.
The Romania checklist

- •Medical insurance, original and copyValid in Romania, one day longer than your stay, at least €50,000 as stated on the Embassy’s page.
- •Proof of fundsAt least €50 per day, and not less than €500 in total.
- •Proof of accommodationA voucher showing paid accommodation at a tourist establishment.

- Romania's Embassy asks for at least €50,000 of medical insurance, valid in all Schengen states for the whole stay.
- Do I need to buy a flight ticket before applying?
- No. A flight reservation with a real, verifiable booking reference is enough. Avoid paying for a full ticket before your visa is approved.
- How do I get an appointment?
- Join the waitlist in your own account on the official visa-centre portal, enter your details exactly as in your passport, and watch your email and SMS. Nobody can guarantee a slot.
